Weitreichendes militäres scharfschützengewehr, model 21.
Military Long-range sniper rifle, model 21.

So, after a few months of thinking , designing, rethinking and redesigning, I came up with this. At first it was patterned after the AI Arctric warfare rifles, but it now looks more like a disfigured AI AW and PGM Mini-Hecate lovechild, but I like it anyways, and atleast I have something new to put here.

It should send an 9mm 300 grain bullet out at 840 m/s, which should kick it to the 15th 100 meter mark, maybe even the 18th one.

I'm not sure whether I'm gonna colour it, my other "promised" (read my latest journal entry), rifle turned out worse with colour and shading added. Besides, it's very time consuming, and I don't have that much of it.

You said it. Nice gallery by the way (although I think some items are not to scale).

yeah my earlier work is pretty shitty because i didn't take my time but most of the other stuff is proportioned correctly according to everything else on the gun but I've started to make my guns bigger in paint so that the resolution looks clearer.

Does it come in Lapua?

You mean the .338 Lapua Magnum?

Yes.
And BTW, is the 9mm round the same sort as in... what was it... the Dragunov SVDK?

No, the bullet is of a slightly smaller diameter, and the case is a longer, and wider. (9x68mm)
But it will fit the .338, though it'd be a standalone rifle, with only the forearm, pistol grip and stock being interchangeable.

The sign of a good weapon product is that components are easily interchangeable. So only changing all the components that touch the bullet should be easy. Bolt head, barrel and magazine being the basic parts. Perhaps the receiver.

What I meant was, changing the 9mm to a .338 is like putting swapping a 5.56mm AR15 reciever with a 6.8mm. however, the upper reciever of an AR15 incorporates the barrel, bolt, etc. Incase of the MWSG, you'd have to unscrew the 9mm barrel, screw on the .338 barrel (which affects zero), remove the bolt and replace the bolt head, and use another magazine.
However, a conversion kit would be a nice idea. Anyways, if it's ever gonna be fielded, it's likely to be chambered in .338 Lapua or .375 RUM (which is balisticly almost identical to the 9mm), since those two are already available, and the 9x68mm isn't.
