Description

Oh, yeah, that's right. I was gonna do an AK based rifle. Sorry 'bout that. Hey, atleast this is something. Besides, I've already done some work on it.
School's started again, which is where I make up the majority of my stuff. Then this came floating along. Yes, it's once more a derivative of the now almost forgotten but given slightly more time before that will actually happen because i meantioned it here and, like, the rifle here looks kinda like it, the F12. Now, let's say our prayers, and bury the damn thing.

Cartridge: 10.5x37mm CCTC (Combustible Case, Telescoped Cartridge)
Operating mechanism: Gas piston
Feeding mechanism: 30 round magazine (With correct lower reciever 100 round box magazines are possible)
Rate of fire: 650 rounds per minute

Technical crap:
The rifle is an electrically fired weapon. It's still usable after being submerged, all the electrics are well shielded.
Field strips into three major components (barrel assembly, lower reciever and upper reciever with fore arm) with the following procedure:
1. Remove magazine
2. Retract bolt as far as possible
3. Unscrew bolts on lower reciever (trigger/magwell assembly)
4. Detach lower reciever
5. Unscrew bolts now exposed
6. Lift barrel assembly out of upper reciever

Variants pictured:

Assault/Battle rifle
Barrel length: 500mm
Overall length: 793mm
Weight: 3.8Kg
Effective range: 400m/800mm

KAC rail panels (11 and 9 ribs)
Tangodown Vertical grip
Aimpoint CompM4S and Aimpoint 3x magnifier
Low profile flip-up sights

Fires the 5mm SCDS Assault rifle load (preferably).
This is the general purpose assault rifle. Bullet fragmentation range is about 400 meters, beyond that it takes a Don Vito sized guy to maintain the tumble. It is, however, accurate to about 700 meters (well, you could hit the broad side of a barn). Grunts issued this rifle will ususally get few magazines of battle rifle ammunition for long range capabilities (effective up to 800 meters).
UPDATE: No more bayonet. It wouldn't really make it a lot better as a rifle. Besides, if you want a bayonet, you'd be better of wth an M16 (it's longer).

UPDATE:
Advanced Assault rifle
Barrel length: 450mm
Overall length: 746
Weight: 4.0 Kg
Effective range: 400m/700m

Double barreled 20mm launcher
CICOG 1.5-6x30 (concept: Bonez18B)
AN/PEQ 2

This one requires a bit more text.
It's got some interesting doo-dads attached to it, like the 20mm launcher: Like a double barreled shotgun. It packs as much punch in a 9" barrel as a 12 gauge does in a 24". Primarily used to breach doors, shoot armor piercing impact-time delayed detonated grenades, shoot canisters of thermite and stuff like that.
The CICOG (Computer Integrated Combat Optic Gunsight) it what this makes and 'advanced assault/battle rifle' (for the most part). It combines a direct view telescopic sight with a 24mm image sensor, which either records up to 20 hours of 640x480, 15Hz film, or directly feeds a 1280x960, 60Hz into the user's hud (toggle with the 'DF' button) (point it around corners without getting shot). It also functions like a laser aiming module, but slightly different. It contains a small gyroscope, with which it figures out the exact angle at which it is held, and it then projects the ballistic arc onto the hud. This way the user can easily point and shoot the weapon without having to project a visible-to-everyone laser and using an IR imaging device. Also, it can be set to the 20mm setting, so you can point 'nd shoot 20mm grenades. And to most 10.5mm loadings.
So, in a nutshell: It will kill you.

Designated marksman rifle
Barrel length: 600mm
Overall length: 894mm
Weight: 4.3Kg
Effective range: 1000m

Parker-Hale bipod
Schmidt & Bender 3-12 x 50 PM II Military
Muzzle break
Adjustable cheek weld

Fires the 6.35mm SCDS DMR/Sniper rifle load.
Squad level marksman rifle. Kills out to 1000 meters with it's 0.65 BC VLD bullets. Not something you'd mess with even with a purpose build 7.62 bolt action rifle.
UPDATE: And gone is the AN/PEQ. And the rail panels. Cheek weld stock is now not a standart anymore, although this one still has it.

SOF carbine
Barrel length: 400mm
Overall length: 768mm
Weight: 3.5Kg
Effective range: 300m

Surefire Mini suppressor
Flashlight
AFG look-a-like
EOTech 560, on a riser with magnifier mounting option (like a 556, but runs on a 9v battery and a XPS-like throw lever mount)
Low profile flip-up sights (flipped up)

Also fires the assault rifle load, but ofcourse at a slightly slower muzzle velocity and with a little more flash (que suppressor). This rifle is set up as a Special forces weapon.

SAR
Barrel length: 200mm
Overall length: 772mm
Weight: 3.9Kg
Effective range: 500m

Specially made suppressor
Night vision sight module
Nightforce NXS-34 2.5-10x32 (NXS with a 34mm tube)
Adjustable cheek weld stock
Parker-Hale bipod
Suppressor capable forearm

My personal favourite fires a subsonic load with a 300 grain weighing full bore slug. I guess it'd make it to the 500 meter mark. The Russian VSS is said to have an effective range of 400 meters, but the bullets from this bitch .41 caliber, and weight 50 grains more. 500 meters thus seems about right I think. Other than that, it's comparable to the VSS (little heavier, but slightly shorter).
UPDATE:

UPDATE:

Nao with moar awesum.

Redid the forearm, flash hider and the grip. Modified the 12 o'clock rail and stock.
Also added different attachments
