So, I tried my hand at sketchup, and this came out, a case less round for my soon (or not so soon) to be sooper-dooper ultra rifle.
The round is a 6mm analog of the M855A1 (with a lead core instead of BiSn alloy). The bullet weighs in at 6 grams, has a ballistic coefficient of .56, and a comparatively modest 60kPSI pushes it to about 1020m/s out of a 450mm barrel. The sabot consists of four petals and a wad, all made of nylon (0.7 grams total). The primer doubles as booster charge and it's electrically ignited.

60kpsi might be comparatively modest compared to the M855A1 (which some people believe to be in excess of 63kpsi), but it's not mild compared to just about every other standard issue small arms ammunition, which generally fall in the 50-55kpsi.
